Its on the "Audio" setting , depending on source playback say you're using hdmi for cd playback , it on the list when you scroll down in the Audio settings and says tone , it allows you to adjust or turn off .

I'm going to call them to find out the secret reset code, and if that cures the quirky problems I've been having, then I'll use it as the world's most expensive switcher until a better solution comes along. Actually, this looks like it might work:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009AT5TOE/ref=s9_psimh_gw_p23_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0ZD264VYCVR0D547JF6H&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1389517282&pf_rd_i=507846

I would plug all of my sources into it, then its output to my 105's HDMI and straight into the amp. No jitter (at least from the SACDs), no down sampling, just switching and analog bliss!

I also considered the DVDO Quick6

It keeps the HDMI ports hot so it might reduce the HDMI handshaking.

The Emotiva XMC-1 has a feature set that does a pretty good job at matching my needs, but it is not shipping yet.

I've only used the full Audyssey--not bypassing the mains. I might try that if the reset fixes the other issues.

Also try Audyssey Flat for music as it doesn't roll off the top end like normal can

I have never understood the rolloff.
Why would studies release titles with artificial boost from the theater on a DVD or BD. It makes no sense.
It seems that this may really be designed to make speakers sound fuller.

The main issue is the Center channel volume.
I watch a movie at the volume required for comfortable vocals and let rest fall where it may.
Some movies get loud tongue.gif
So Dynamic Equalization makes sense.

Dynamic EQ will indeed allow you to watch at those comfortable levels and still sound full and complete, I use it late at night with volume at -30db!

The reason has to do with the different balance between direct and reflected sound in typical domestic listenining rooms compared with performance sites.  The roll-off compensates for that.  But, if you prefer flat as I used to, have at it.
