Been doing this for several years. Way better than using crappy PC speakers. Nice video. Call it a receiver not an amp.

Now change the parts with modern parts and save the green stuff in the world smile.gif. The 'computer' part should be using say between 6 and 10watts and only active when needed.

I like people making stuff from old parts but it can have its downsides, people running old pc's in closets for reason x,y,z is one of them they always forget then power use that where normal back them but not now.

The "greenest" thing (product, building, etc.) is sometimes the existing one, regardless of its inefficiency, because of the resources required to manufacture its replacement.
