Not enough info, sorry.

You have setup a 7.1 system? Or what?

Say you did setup 7.1. First ensure your speakers are placed as the guideline suggests for 7.1. I would ensure the speakers are all at the correct level via test tones. An SPL meter gives you some idea, otherwise it's your ears and brain to judge.

Play an actual 7.1 movie. There should be some rear surround effects. Problem is, I feel, there's so few 7.1 movies, how to have a good idea of what it sounds like? But at least it gives you some idea.

7.1 via DPL Iix from a 5.1 movie might be subtle. I don't expect dramatic effect. I use it all the time, but don't spend time thinking about it.

Even 5.1 can be pretty subtle I think. I have definitely heard movies which have very little surround sound effects.

If you give more details you might get more ideas from AVS fans

"But this one goes up to 11"

Onkyo AV TX-NR709

Yes everything setup right
But my problem the listening mode

pLix Movie : no high effect in rare speakers and sides (gun bullets-car crash) but i can hear everything good in movies Wind Rain actors voice very high

Any THX mode : good rich effects like gun bullets cars crash
But i lose the music in the movie hard to hear it and actors voice kinda low to hear .
