I am still on the look out for a replacement for my Denon 1709. I love the sound this baby puts out, but my stupid wii u doesn't have an optical out and the 1709 can't do audio through hdmi. So I am on the lookout for the cheapest receiver that has those items listed in my Title.

The Denon 1612 from accessories4less could be your best bet at $189 (refurbished with 1 yr warranty).

Thanks for that. I am trying to decide between the 591 and the 1612. The 591 has the extra component and what look to be easier controls on the front, while the 1612 has the gui overlay and the ipod usb feature.
