I would like to change my Denon AVR-786 (without HDMI) by a RX-A1020. Is it worth the cost? Do you think this will be a big improvement ?

My front speakers are B&W DM220, the back are dm302 and the center speaker is REEL. Not a very good one. I know my speakers should match but for now i don't want to change my DM220. I might consider buying a center B&W HTM61 or 72.

You're much better served upgrading the center speaker first and then when you've saved up again, take a look at upgrading the AVR.

You are probably right even though a receiver is sexier than a speaker...

Thanks for sharing.
