Hi,
Im new to 5.1 home theater systems. Im looking to make one on my own,

I managed to pick up a Sony STR-DH820 AV receiver. Im looking to find complementing speakers and a Sub woofer to complete my set. Trying to keep my Budget to under $700.

I would be using the system mostly for Movies and Music.

I was looking at
Center Speaker : Yamaha NS-C444 2-Way Center Channel Speaker OR Pioneer SP-C21 130 Watt RMS 2-Way Speaker

Front Speakers : Tannoy Mercury V1 Speakers OR Harman Kardon HKS-9 Speaker Pack OR 2 of the Boston XS series OR Sony SS-B3000 Bookshelf Speakers

Rear Speakers : Bose 161 Bookshelf Speaker System OR Would appreciate a recommendation.

Would also appreciate a recommendation for the sub woofer.

Would these work for me or do you suggest picking all the speakers of the same brand.

Would appreciate any Assistance in building the system. Thanks

The Pioneer speakers I would rule out because their sensitivity is too low for your receiver's power ratings.

The Bose and Sony I would rule out because they are crap.

I suggest the Cambridge S30 speakers and S50 center speaker and a Polk PSW505 subwoofer to start with. Put your money into quality speakers now for 3.1 and add two more later.

When you a get a bit more cash you can add 2 more speakers; perhaps the Cambridge S20 speakers.

That should run about $600-700 in the USA (are you in the USA?).
