Hi,

I have the option of buying the SR7005 (from exhibition) for the same price as a new SR6007 and I feel confused. I will appreciate your opinion regarding the features of these receivers.

Thanks a lot,
Joris

If you look on the Marantz site you can compare features. From my memory (which isn't always perfect) with the 6007 you'll get spotify and 4k video capability that the 7005 doesn't have. With the 7005 you'll get a larger
display behind the drop down door and a little more power. My choice would be the 7005 for the display alone. I use an ipod for spotify so that's not an issue with me. The 4K won't be of any use unless you have
a gigantic display. Your looking at years down the road for the 4K stuff.

Thanks for your reply. Following your advice I am more and more convinced that 7005 would be better, However, additional point is whether to buy unit from the dealer's show room is a proper thing to do. I try to think about it as getting something post QA control but still have some doubts down there.

Please comment.

Buy the display unit . Save yourself some money !! It will be backed by a three year warranty. Just do a reset on it when you get it home. This will take it back to it's new from the factory settings.

+1. You are still getting the three year warranty with a display unit as long as it's from an authorized dealer.. Mine was a display unit at Bestbuy. $750. I've been totally happy with mine. It's a very fine receiver.
