It is easy to go overboard in these things. I am looking to get a three channel amp, (with balanced inputs I hope) to run my 2 surround and one rear speaker in my Home theatre.

It will be connected to 3 Thiel Powerplane in wall speakers. Up front I have Revel Ultima Salon Speakers, powered by Krell evolution 600.

Are there any suggestions? I don’t want to go to far overboard here.

Surround Pre-Amp: Krell 707 3D; Amp: (center) Krell 400e; Amp Fronts Krell 600e; Rears Proceed HPA-3; SACD: Krell Cipher; FM: Day Sequerra FM Reference; Blu-Ray: Oppo BDP 105; Speakers: Revel Ultima Salon 2; Center: Revel Voice 2; Rear/Back: Thiel Powerplanes; Subs: 2 SVS SB-13 Ultra; Turntable:...

How much are you looking to spend? Emotiva has the XPA-3.

Thanks very much for letting me know about the Emotiva, ATI and the Parasound. One or the other seems like a good solution. I certainly would like to pay only $500, but $2,000 seems to be the way to go.

To be perfectly frank, so many of the “mid range” audio stores closed near me in the last decade, I am just not up with this level of amps. I can’t walk into a store and hear them or even see them. I am using a 15 year Proceed HPA-3, which has seen better days.

Thanks for helping me out. Have any of you heard these amps?

I`ve owned the xpa-3 in the past, but sold it to buy a 5 channel Marantz amp. I was happy with the sound and performance of the emotiva, and would buy one again. I wish they had a 200 x 7 amp.
