Hello all, this is my first post in the AVS forums!

I've been living in Japan for a little over 10 years now, but it looks like my wife and I will be moving back to America sometime in 2013.

To save on packing, I've decided to sell off some of my gear here. However, I'm not sure what to do with my Onkyo TX-SA507. I'd like to bring it home, but unlike most other electronics, it doesn't seem to support American electrical standards. The back of the unit only lists the typical 100v 50-60Hz Japanese standard.

Do you guys think it would be a problem?

Thanks!

Sell it off. IMO, it's not worth dealing with power supply converter along with receiver. In the process you can upgrade to the latest receiver offerings.

I be surprised if it didn't just work without a converter, but there would be some chance of damage if it doesn't. It might be simpler to just buy a new receiver, but the one you have now isn't old enough that you're likely to benefit from something newer.

Can you get much for it in Japan? I've heard the used market for electronics is very poor in Japan.
