Ok it's that time to upgrade my audio , during the holiday i purchased the polk tl1900 speakers and sub on sale http://www.polkaudio.com/products/tl1900 , I am looking for a nice 7.1 receiver , my plan is to start with the 5.1 but later down the line when i have more money id like to get two floor standing speakers and go 7.1 . So i have been doing allot of research and i can really use your help , i am on a huge budget and its between these 3 recivers The Onkyo tx-nr616 ( http://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-TX-NR616-7-2-Channel-Certified-Receiver/dp/B0077V88W2/ref=sr_1_3?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1357914771&sr=1-3 ) , The Onkyo tx-nr515 ( http://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-TX-NR515-7-2-Channel-Network-Receiver/dp/B0077V88VI/ref=sr_1_5?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1357920613&sr=1-5 ) and the Pioneer vsx-1022-k ( http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-VSX-1022-K-7-Channel-Receiver-Network/dp/B007O5ATC8/ref=sr_1_10?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1357920613&sr=1-10 ) . I really do not want to go over $350 so the onkyo 616 is a maybe , but then i hear all this talk on the web about audyssey and how good it is to have with a proper set up . Please just chime in and help me out with 1 of these 3 and what will sound and work best for me . I am kind of a newb at this and id really appreciate all your help . Thank you

Hi,

I would stay away from the 515 and 616 as they have been problematic since their release.

You said that you are interested in Audyssey, well you have to go all the way up to the 818 to get any real benefit from it with MultEQ XT32. Your choices only have the most basic application of it with 2EQ which is, in my opinion, worthless.

You might be able to find some good deals on last years products. To do Audyssey correctly you would want nothing less than MultEQ XT, IMO.

Good luck.

Thank you for the responce , going to the 818 is out of the question and while yes the 515 and 616 have been problematic this has not been a issue for everyone and i believe onkyo gives a 2 year warranty so i am not so worried. I def. do not want last years products , i am interested in audyssey but if its going to take me over $350 its out of the question. I just want something with a easy setup , 3d & 7.1 capable and something that will be able to tune and give my speakers good sound that i can hook up all my consoles and tv. My problem right now is my setup is 6-7 years old and the center channel is horrible. I will be watching movies with friends and family and it is so hard to hear characters voices over the other sounds the speakers are producing. so i already got the new speakers and now i need a amp in the $250-$350 range.
