My system is a Onkyo TX-SX607 AV and some Tanoy 607 speakers. I have just purchased a Wharfedale Sub SW 150 and having some problems with the connection and could do with some advice. At the moment I have it connected to the pre-out subwoofer on the Onkyo (2 purple colour phone inputs) using a single RCA lead, which is connected to the line level left input of the SW 150. The performance of the subwoofer is poor, and not as good as my old passive subwoofer.

I have read the Bass Management Basics sticky and it mentions that you should select small speaker on both front and rear speakers in your setup, so it pushes more base through your subwoofer, but there is no sign of that setting in the 607 setup. Has anyone had experience in setting up a subwoofer on their 607, would appreciate some guidance.
