Looking to replace my aging Integra DHC 9.9 with a newer receiver or Pre/pro with Audyssey DSX and XT32.

Anything cheap out there? Refurb is ok too.

Thanks

It depends on what you mean by "cheap". XT32 tends to be available only on top-of-the-line receivers. You'll have to actually call suppliers on the phone in order to get the best prices. Denon and Marantz dealers aren't allowed to publicize anything other than MSRP. Onkyo's TX-NR818 seems to be the least expensive of the receivers with XT32 (~$900), but people seem to like to complain about their reliability. I've seen reports of Denon's 4311 being available for less than $1100, but they're starting to be in short supply.

Cheap is preferably around $600. I guess I'll have to wait a few more generations of receivers for price drop.tongue.gif

In the meantime, Audyssey MultEQ XT (the next step down from XT32) is available on many receivers in your price range.

If you want to stay with Integra's product line, the 10.3 has XT32, but it's way above your budget. The equivalent Onkyo 5509 isn't much cheaper frown.gif

More than likely you will have to wait awhile and pickup a used AVR/prepro if you want XT32 for $600. I have seen mention of the 818 being on sale for around $700 before the holidays but the prices are higher right now. I had the 886 which was replaced by the 4311. For me the addition of XT32 was well worth it. Just so you know the 818 does not have SubEQ. If you happen to have multiple subs you might want that feature.

Do you mean the 80.3?

Thanks.

That 4311 looks very nice, but out of my price range for now.

I bought my 4311 from Best Buy with I believe 2 years interest free financing. That could be an option smile.gif.

Are you using the 4311 as a pre/pro?

Not a problem as I thought the 10.3 was a new model. I googled it and got a bunch of Integra car information smile.gif.
