I currently have a 1021 I got a year ago, but I just am really liking the 1222 @ $550 with it's Class D amp. What do you guys think?

How much is my 1021 really putting out? I feel the Class D would destroy it.. biggrin.gif

Setup:
Monitor 75T
Monitor 25C
DCM TF-400

Yes, it will destry it. A friend of mine has the 1021. I never heard pioneer before so I went to his house and i love the sound quality from the pioneer. I was going to get tne 1122 but found a nice deal on 1222 so I jump on it. My friend heard it and now he wants me to trade my receiver 1222 with the 1021 plus $300 cash. I said: "hell noooo". I own a denon 3311 but I moved my 3311 from ht room to living room and get this baby 1222 now on my ht room. Very, very happyyyy biggrin.gif

I'm seriously considering the 1222.

After taking a look at my 1021 output. ~45 watts a channel? I don't think I'll be doing my speakers justice by powering them with that little..

Either the 1222, or I get a Pre-amp and a Emotiva 700 or something..

Exactoy. Just 45w on 5ch. On 1222 is 125w all channel driven. Its a lot lot better and huge difference.

600W all channel driven. I would say more like ~80. Still hellava lot more than 45.
