I am looking for an amp to go with the following setup..
Def Tech RLS III in-wall front L&R speakers
Def Tech 8040HD center (not purchased yet)
Def Tech RCS III in-ceiling rear sepakers
Hsu VTF-15H sub (not purchased yet)

To date I have thought about the following...
Yamaha RX-V673
Yamaha RX-A720
Denon 1913
Denon 2113ci

I still need to purchase a TV and the chances are it will support 3D but won't be 4K so thats not a big deal.
What are people's general impressions of the above? I see good reviews on the RX-V673 and it seems to be regarded as better than the Denon 2113. In the UK (where I am originally from) the Denon is much much cheaper and regarded as a good bargain right now so people are opting for it from that point of view.

How does the Yamaha YPAO stand up against the Denon MultEQ XT & is this a big reason why to go one way rather than the other?
What points should I be considering here? I am open to increasing my budget if needed. Unfortunately I don't have a store local where I can demo this so I am going in rather blind.
Thanks for any help.

These are AV receivers not amps. They contain amplifiers.

Not to detract from any of the products but to clarify:

Denon Multieq is not Denon Multieq but rather it is Audyssey Multieq. Audyssey is actually a family of products ranging from Audyssey 2EQ to Audyssey Multieq XT32.

I believe that there are now perhaps 2 versions of YPAO, both of which seem to rank lower than the competitive Audyssey product if you can figure out what that is! ;-)

If it were my money on the line, at this instant I'd give some preference to Audyssey, even as a happy Yamaha AVR owner.

You might also might want to look at the Onkyo 616 receiver. It has Audessy DSX and quite a list of good features for less than $400.

A lot of people seem to be unhappy with the limitations of YPAQ.

This is hard and I don't have anywhere close that I can audition them.
From what I can tell the upgrade to the RX-A720 from the RX-V673 doesn't seem worth it. The RX-AV820 adds multi-point YPAO which may be worth somrthing. Still the YPAO frim what I understand doesn't equalize the sub,
The Audessy seems to be the way to go versus the YPAO, but that said the Denon amps don't get as favourable reviews as the Yamahas..
I need to look some more into Onkyo but I was put off by some problems on the threads here & scouring thr internet. The TX-NR717 would be in my price bracket, but the 818 is certainly a step up price wise and with the reported issues I am worried I willl regret it.
All in all I keep coming back to the RX-V673..
