Looking to pick up a Yamaha RX-A820 receiver to use with one of the following set of floorspeakers (I haven't decided which ones yet):

Klipsch FK-28
Energy CF-70
Polk RTi A9

Is the Yamaha RX-A820 adequate enough to run any of these floorspeakers, especially the RTi A9's, and will the RX-A820 be able to successfully bi-amp any of speakers without problems?

Yes it will be fine. Will the Polks like more power? Probably.

There is also no/little benefit to bi-amping, or rather, passive bi-amping.

How much power do you think the Polks need?

Depends on the size of your room and how loud you play your system.

Good thing about the A820 is you can always add an external amp if necessary.

This is how much they would probably like.

But if you're not listening to them super loud, you won't need it.
