So I'm looking to upgrade my receiver, currently have the NR-708 and I've been looking at the NR-717 now that the price is falling. This one seems better in most aspects except it doesn't have the MultiEQ.

Anyone used both and can tell me which they liked more? Or if its even worth upgrading?

Thanks

Are you having problems with it? I just bought one used, an upgrade from a TX-SR706 I had and loved, but would not pass 3D signal. It does a lot considering it is now about 3 years old. If it is working fine, does it do what you need? What other unit are you looking at? Will it give you more bang for your buck?

Is your 708 "underperforming"? Upgrade to make things better, yup... but the 717 won't add much with the lack of MultiEQ.
