I just purchased this receiver and have it connected to a Panasonic BDT220 BluRay player. The player is configured to bitstream but I'm noticing that when playing a DD TrueHD movie the front display simply says "Dolby Digital". Is this normal? Shouldn't it say TrueHD? Thanks

On my old Pioneer there was an option to change the surround mode on my remote as well as the front panel, is there not on the Yamaha?

My assumption was that it would auto-detect the TrueHD bitstream like it does DTS-MA. I'm not sure about the remote. Need to check

You need to go into your BDT220 audio settings and go to the BD-Video Secondary Audio and set it to Off. That will output the audio to the receiver that is being passed to the BD player.

Panasonic 55ST50
Yamaha RX-V673
Klipsch RF-52 II // RC-52 II // RS-42 II
Klipsch RW-12d

No problem. Just be sure to report back and let us know if that was the resolution to your issue, so if other people come across this, they are able to address their issue.
