Deciding between these 2.
Currently using an Onkyo TX-NR905 in a 7.1 home theater.
Dual subs which are not the same model.
Looking to add 2nd zone with AV.
Also need 3D compatibility for main area.
Price is pretty much the same either way but the 3009 is refurbished.

Was ready to pull the trigger on the Pioneer but the lack of sub equalization
versus the Audyssey XT 32 is holding me back. I do feel the subs are a bit unruly.
But the 3009 is an older model and a refurbished.....
Opinions welcome.

Just judging from a lot of threads and members on this website, Onkyo's reliability is brought into question quite a bit, that, and their horrendous customer service. Considering the 3009 is a refurb, I'd probably avoid the Onkyo.

Of course, I got it modified with the TK-427, which cheeks it up another, maybe, 3 or 4 quads per channel.
