I have a new pioneer reciever. When i try most of the advanced surround modes when watchimg a movie ii get this annoying echo sounds from the dialougs of the men at the movie.
When i use the standart surriund mode it sounds good.

Am i doing something wrong? Need to configure something different at the reciever?

Some of those modes, like Stadium, etc. have intentional delays to create an echo effect on purpose. I wouldn't use any of those unless that is the desired sound you want to achieve from your material. I generally only use these modes for 2-channel music. You'll want to stick with either a Dolby Digital ( DD ) or Digital Theater Sound ( DTS ) mode for movies. If you are still getting an echo with these modes, then the imaging ( speaker delays ) are off. If the Pioneer has an automatic room correction test you can run, I would run that first. At the very least, the room correction would balance the output over all speakers and set up the delays correctly based on where you place the testing mic.

HD-DVD = 94
Blu-Ray = 120 ( 24 Warner red2blu )
