I posted this a few days ago in another section, but I guess it was the wrong spot because it's got hardly any views, so i'll try again.
I have an Onkyo S3400 HTIB laying around doing nothing. Got it when i didn't know HTIB sucked. Anyway, I want to salvage this thing and am hoping to turn it into a pretty decent 2.1 for music only in the garage. So I figured i'll use the receiver only because the speakers are worthless for music.
It has no pre-out? Can, and how, do i hook up a powered sub?
At 660w total, can this run 2 decent front speakers. I'm hoping to pick up speakers and a sub off craigs, but am concerned that the output may not be able to properly push non HTIB speakers.
