Unfortunally an firmware update went wrong on my Onkyo TX-SR707 receiver, now I can only see MMPU setting in the screen. So I bought myself a donor TX-SR707 with a broken housing and used the HDMI board as I thought that it would be the cause. Only after replacing the hdmi board I still have the problem, does someone know which part is holding the MMPU setting?

Thanks in advance!.

I have the same issue, managed to screw up my unit by being impatient during the Firmware upgrade.

Contacted both Onkyo USA and the local authorised repair center in South Africa, both basically told me this unit is a brick now. Unless I replace the Microprocessor. I am trying to figure out where this is located.

According to the local repair center, the HDMI board is where the MP is situated. Removed the board competely to see what happens but it made no difference. Any help will be welcome.

Model : TX-NR708
