I am setting up 7 channel speakers and need advice on the receiver i should get for that. My speakers are kef Q900 front, kef Q600 centre, kef kube2 subwoofer, kef Q800ds(dipoles) for sorround, kef Q800ds for sorround backs. Currently i have Onkyo TX-NR809 reciver which i plan to use with this setup. I am also looking into Yamaha RX-V1073 receiver and some others. My room size is 17 foot x 17.8 foot. Distance from wall mounted Tv to sitting area is 15 foot
Your help in picking up the right receiver is appreciated Thanks

Just curious why the Kef 300 vs the Q800DS?

Pioneer SC-65
KEF, Q5 Front, Q9 Center, Q1 rear, Q800DS
Epson 3020 Projector, 135 in 235.1 screen
OPPO 103D, Apple TV, XBOX 360

Monopole versus dipole. I'd open up the Q800DS pair on the back wall and convert them to bipole IMO.

Those Kef not exactly hard to drive, inefficient speakers. Onkyo should be fine, I'd be looking into a power amplifier, if your Onkyo has pre-outs.

One of these per speaker should just be good enough

Krell Evolution 900e x 7

Bose Jewel speakers.

Jealous of my speakers?

@Tfleming675 i chose the q300 cuz thats what they had in the store i shop at was either that or the 100's. Also i wanted the same size drivers throughout my space. I might try the 800's since i have a 7.2 reciver
