Hey all,

In the coming months I am planing on setting up a 5.1 setup for my living room. I need advice on a solid all around av receiver and I am trying to keep my budget around or under 1k. Right now I only use a HD cable box and use a ps3 for streaming movies from my server. I plan to listen to music occasionally with this setup but don't really see expanding to any other devices in the distant future. I have small size living room, with a awkward layout, I just want to find something that is going to give me crisp clean and powerful sound.

As of now I am considering going after the Klipsch - Quintet or the Polk Audio Blackstone TL350 for speakers but I am open to other suggestions.

I currently own a Boston Acoustics CS Sub10 100 watt which I plan to use with my new setup

AV receiver (need help)

Rear speaker stands (suggestions)

Thanks

I'm in the same boat as you. I want a five channel receiver for my bedroom to run two energy cf-70's that I already have. Fry's has a harmon kardon avr 1565 on sale for $198 that has good reviews on amazon. For $399, the denon avr-1913 is a good buy. I have the denon avr-1911 in my living room and really like it, but wanted to save my money and don't need the seven channels. My other choice may be the marantz nr-1402 demo for $250 at audio advisor. If anyone else has a better idea in the $200-$250 price range, I would like to hear it.
