I purchased a refubished AVR-2313 and had this same issue, although I couldn't even get the setup menu on screen. After a couple calls to Denon support, I decided to return it for a replacement, which I have yet to receive. This is my 1st true home theater receiver, so if anyone can point me in the direction of other AVR-2313 'help' discussions, I'd greatly appreciate it. On a side note, I'm not pleased with Denon's return service. It's been 2 weeks with my awesome projector setup that I haven't been able to use because of this receiver debacle.
