Hello all,

I am looking for some help and advise. I bought a 55" LED 3D smart tv and now I want to add a good home theatre. Now,
I want to build something rather than buying a HTIB... I want a nice amp 7.1 if possible with air play. Please help me find a good amp and speakers which would go well to get some nice 5.1 or 7.1 surround. My budget is $1000

People have been talking about denon 1913 and energy classic 5.1 combo.. But it's a little expensive. Could anyone recommend something similar?

I am confused. Your budget is $1000. The Denon/Energy combo is about $800. How is it "a little expensive"?

I would also consider the Pioneer speakers designed by Andrew Jones, but that will put you right at the $1000 mark for the speaker/receiver combo.

I have been doing more research and I think I've got it down to this..

Yamaha Rxv5753

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007JF861O

However, some said that receiver is not that powerful, so if anyone has any experience with it, I'd like to hear your feedback

Polk Audio RM6750

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0002WTK4S/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1362506608&sr=8-1&pi=SL75

From reviews, these speaker set seems pretty good, again if anyone has experience with them, kindly provide your feedback.

I can get the amp for $399 at future shop and a website is selling the Polk audio for $298 which I can price match at future shop as well. Total cost around $700

I own the Yamaha Rxv5753. It is plenty powerful for an average home living room/media room. I run a 5.1 surround setup (see my list) and crank up the volume for movie night to the point the wife gets mad and have had no issues.

Clean power beats lots of dirty power. wink.gif
