Looking to upgrade from my aging Denon AVR-888 and would love to have one with a front HDMI port in addition to the usual ports in the back. Trying to keep the price under 500 and am currently running a 5.1 Polk setup (apartment living). Doesn't necessarily need to be Denon, but they've done right by me so far.

Any suggestions?

Denon AVR models have had front HDMI inputs for the past couple of years .. the new 2013 models will as well. Review post #2 in each of the Denon XX12 and XX13 Owner's threads linked in my sig to compare features on the various models in your price range. You will likely want to consider either the 1712 or 1713.
