I bought this receiver a couple of weeks ago but hadn't had time to really calibrate it and I've only used it to play some background music. I finally got around to putting in the mic to do the MCACC thing. I press enter and off it went. After about 15 seconds of doing it's test the receiver would shut off for no reason whatsoever. I have tried several times and it keeps shutting off.

I've waiting a bit to make sure it wasn't over heating or anything and still have the same problems.

About 3 days ago my wife said she was playing music for about 2 hours and it auto shut itself off too and display some overheat warning. I wasn't around at the time nor did I personally ever have any problems with the receiver until now.

Anyone else have these problems or anything similar?

I'm airplaying my Ipod over to the receiver right now while typing this and it seems fine as far as I can tell.

I would double check all your speaker wires and make sure none of the wires are touching each other. Most likely a surround speaker since 2 channel doesn't make it shut off.
