Howdy,

A friend of mine wants to setup some audio in their offices. They want to play audio (Pandora or whatever) from a PC at their front desk and then have it go to speakers in 8 rooms that they have. I'm just looking for the easiest, no frills, way that this can be done.

I'm assuming I need some sort of main amplifier that take one input and have 8 outputs, and then I'd run each output to a speaker in each room, but I don't know anything about that sort of equipment. If anyone can recommend me something that would work and that's inexpensive (no idea if they have a budget for this) I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

A couple of questions..
1. Does he want (2) speakers in each room for stereo or only 1?
2. Is it just for back ground music or also paging?
3. Does he want to control the volume level of each room independently?
4. What is the budget?

Just my $0.02... wink.gif

Probably just one. See below

This is just for a chiropractor/massage office and is just for background music to have a more peaceful experience.

I don't think this would be needed but if it's not too hard to add a wall switch in each room, I'm sure they research the possibility

No idea, but the cheaper the better since this isn't something they were planning on doing. Right now they have some sort of iPhone docking station with a wireless speaker but it doesn't work very well at time. They want it hard wired for reliability.

For the basic implementation, I'm assuming the PC plays out and the cord goes into some sort of amplifier/distributor/whatever. From there speaker wire would go to the speakers. I just don't know what that middle piece would be.

For a more advanced implementation, with the volume controls and things, I'm guess there's more too it.

Now to figure out why i don't get emails when someone replies. hmm.
