Hi Jim,

It appears, you may be talking about the MCP-18 (Multi-channel Preamp) which is all analog, rather than the AVP-18, which is an all digital Preamp Processor.

Your assessment it right on, it is an exceptional unit.

Yes, my bad--I had googled for avsforum MCP-18 and it brought me here. I don't see a separate avsforum thread for the MCP-18. Maybe someone can start one.
