Hi,

I have a Yamaha Rx-673 receiver, and recently acquired a pair of Bang & Olufsen BeoLab4000 active speakers. Can anyone provide any insight into how I can hook these up to play as my front tower speakers? It would be great to get this set up, but I have to admit I really don't know much when it comes to this kind of thing so I am hoping someone can give me some help. Thanks!

I don't think you can power these with your receiver since they are active speakers. You probably need a line level output. Your receiver probably does not have line level pre-outs.

I believe you might need both (a) a "proprietary Beo connector to RCA" cable pair, and (b) a 'generic' stereo "speaker level to line level (i.e., RCA) converter" (also sometimes called a DI Box). I suggest you check availability/price of the former with your Beo dealer, before you start looking for the latter unit.
