Hello.

So I'm getting my pioneer 1121k in a few days. This is my first HT so I have limited knowledge with recovers and the HDMI functions.

I currently have a Direct TV with HD programming but its only processing channels at 1080i, sometimes 720p. The main reason why I bought this very receiver because I read on the reviews that it has great video upscaling to 1080P.

I also have a 1080P capable LCD.

My question is, I currently have a XBOX 360, SONY Blueray player, Westinghouse TV, and Direct TV cable box.
I am aware there are 5 HDMI (maybe 6?) IN ports and 1 HDMI OUT port in the back of the receiver.

What should I put on the HDMI OUT for ALL my gear to be shown on my T.V at 1080P?

Or is it even necessary to use the HDMI OUT port? Or should I just connect everything to HDMI IN only?

You hook the hdmi out to your tv. Hook your cable, game system, bluray etc. to the hdmi inputs.
