The Yamaha RX-A3020 is the only AV receiver that can output HDMI audio to zone 2 speaker terminals or pre-outs. Some other high end 2012 receivers, and the RX-A3020 as well, support outputing HDMI audio and video to a zone HDMI output, which you'd have to connect, using an HDMI cable, to a TV or another AV receiver to hear anything in the other zone.
The RX-A2020 doesn't support either of these options.
Any AV receiver with zone 2 or 3 support, including the RX-A2020, will let you listen to an HDMI connected source in these other zones if you also connect the device using analogue audio cables, and your source device supports simultaneous HDMI and analogue audio output (eg. your cable TV box) or you manually switch the output as necessary (eg. your Mac Mini).
The RX-A2020 and RX-A3020 have 9 channels of amplification and can drive 5.1 speakers in the main zone plus stereo speakers in zone 2 and 3 without using an external amplifier.
