Power wise ... yes, as it looks to be a little more power, but not likely audio quality wise.

It's loud enough and can even go "too loud" for the missus.

Hello.

I hope this is a simple matter. The setup is a cable box and Apple TV connected to NR1604, with a single HDMI output to a Samsung HDTV. All my music listening is through the Apple TV. Whilst doing that the TV displays the music info.

How can I listen to music and watch something different on the TV? That means 2 processes at the same time: Apple TV to receiver to speakers, and cable box (pass through) to TV.

Thanks for your help.

Connect cable box (HDMI) to TV with cable box (optical) to 1604.
