This thing was working fine today, but I go out to get a sand which, come back, turn it and the cable box (Comcast Cisco RNG200) on and the TV is displaying no signal. I'm not sure whether this is the cable box being retarded, or the AV receiver, but I just want to watch some sports center and eat a sandwich for cryin out loud. I already tried factory resetting the receiver. Nothing happened.

can you get the Onkyo setup menu to display on your TV?

if you can't get it working then connect your cable box directly to the TV via HDMI and connect an optical or digital coax cable from the cable box to the receiver for audio. It'll be the same audio as Dolby Digital is the best audio output a cable box can do. Optical and digital coax can handle DD 5.1 just like HDMI.
