I have had Yamaha and (current) Denon 2106 AVR and have been quite happy with both. I have a few questions on my proposed new setup and wanted to get expert opinion from this forum.
-- 5.1 setup
-- LCR: Paradigm Cinema 220
-- Rear/surround: Paradigm ADP (?)
-- sub: (Forgot the make/model as it is hidden away)
-- Probably end up w/ either Panasonic or Samsung 60" Plasma
-- HTPC (Win7 based)
-- (Pre-ordered) Ouya
-- Have wired ethernet
-- NAS w/ music, video, pics, etc
-- Have both iOS and Android phones
I don't plan to move to a 7.1 speaker setup in my living room but am contemplating having wireless speakers connected to zone-2.
Based on my understanding I could go for
-- Denon 1713 (5.1) + Amp for zone2 (fixed volume?)
-- Denon x1000 (5.1) + Amp for Zone2 (fixed volume?)
-- Denon x2000 (7.1) , Zone-2 driven directly by AVR (w/ volume control)
-- Yamaha RX-V673 (7.2), Zone-2 driven directly by AVR (w/ volume control)
-- I would like to be able able to play my music files (including FLAC) independently on Zone-2 from my NAS.
-- Prefer not to have big external AMPs.
-- I don't see an advantage on having upscaling in AVR, as the TV has this already. (Is my assumption right?)
Can the gurus suggest any of the above AVRs or an alternatives? and also recommendations on Amp + wireless outdoor speakers
Thanks in advance.
