Need a receiver with all that -- HDMI in and out + front preamp outputs -- asking because the search is driving me nuts.

Anyone know of any ? Don't want want megadollar "audiophile" (gag) stuff.

Thanks.

I've never seen a receiver with preamp outputs on the front. doesn't mean one doesn't exists but I've never seen one.

What can't you just run the preamp outputs from the back? connect a dual rca extension cable from the back and run it under the receiver to the front as most receivers have a 1/2" to 1" of clearance underneath.

The A-820 has aux inputs on the front, lots of receivers have those.

Oops my bad! There are lots of receivers with preamp outputs. search shouldn't have been that hard. They are more mid level than entry level though.

The low end Marantz models have 2.1 pre-outs ... 1403 (MSRP $399) and 1504 (MSRP $499).

ok thanks -- may need to just get in my receiver and add my own. another thing if anyone sees this, off topic though -- has anyone seen a receiver with HDMI inputs and will supply whatever HDMI video you're watching at either a composite or S-video output?

most of the receivers I've searched will only output an analog video input.

AVRs don't do HDMI--> analog video down conversion.
