My Denon 3312 CI is malfunctioning since yesterday. It would make high pitch sounds (sometimes busting) the the audio would stop. I have to switch it on/off and it might play quite sometime without any problem and then again it would reappear. Anybody have any clue what might have gone wrong? any recommendation/suggestion?

Did anything change in your current configuration? Does it occur with all inputs? First try a "soft reset" by unplugging the unit for 10 minutes. If still no joy, then reset the microprocessor (p. 149 OM).

Also note there is a dedicated thread for Denon AVR-XX12 models at the link below. Review posts #3-6 for additional helpful infomation.

"JD" - Call 585-645-1006 or email for AVR selection and pricing discussion 8am - 8pm EST daily (incl Sat/Sun)
AV Science - Dealer for Denon, Marantz, Yamaha, Onkyo, Def Tech, Atl Tech, SVS, Oppo

Think you have a defective AVR? Owner's manual - Factory reset 4-5 times in a row.
