I just bought a Denon AVR1908 from my friend, it worked fine when it was connected to his system. I've just got it home and connected it to my system and there is no sound.

I am fairly new to having an amp setup and have no idea what it could be!

If theres anyone who can give me any pointers it would be massively appreciated.
Thanks in advance

First thing to do when receiving an open box/used/demo/refurbished unit is to reset the microprocessor (p. 47 OM) to ensure all settings are returned to their factory defaults.

If you think your AVR is defective, refer to the Owner's manual and reset the microprocessor a few times in a row.

next thing is to read a bit of the user manual.
