Hi guys,

I have just bought an Onkyo 818 and are really pleased with it, however I do have one question about the HDMI sub out.

If I set my receiver to use my blu-ray player, outputting to my projector via the sub out (I have a TV connected to HDMI 1 out), it all works perfectly.

If however I set my receiver to use my sky HD box, again outputting to my projector via the sub out, it is roughly half the size.

Both look fine on my tv, so it must be something to do with the sub out. I know it's not the projector as I had it hooked up to an Onkyo 609 earlier in the week, and it was fine - showed the Sky picture full size.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might fix this?

Thanks.

Try the official 818 topic.

Of course, I got it modified with the TK-427, which cheeks it up another, maybe, 3 or 4 quads per channel.

Have a look at pg57 of the manual. I think this may be a resolution problem where the BD is 1080p and the Sky is 720 Have a look at the resolution settings.Read also page 69. Let us know how you get on.
