Hi everyone. I have been a passive visitor of this site for many years, but this is my first post. So I plan to buy the PS4 and XBox One when they are released later this year. Both of which will have a toslink (optical audio) out port. I currently have the Astro A50 headphones that I use only for by XBox 360 right now. It has a single toslink input and single toslink output for pass through.
My question is:
Is there a way to take two audio sources both with toslink (the Xbox One and the PS4) and pass them to a single toslink (2 in, 1 out) to feed into the input of the headphones, and then split the audio back out from the output into 2 for my receiver (1 in, 2 out). I know this seems slightly convoluted, but it would be great to be able to use these headphones with multiple sources. I'd also be open to other creative solutions. My reciever is the Yamaha RX-V571BL.
Also, I apologize if this is under the wrong section of the forum.
