Well, it might help to know the size of the room and the volume level you are hoping for. Also, is this for mostly movies/TV or music too?

Can't see the signature link from my tablet, but I believe your new system is Ascend. You really don't need a separate amplifier, any decent AVR will power those speakers adequately. Now if you have money to burn, that's a different story.

The last 2 posts are both correct.
The 373 has no preout to hook up an amp so you would have to buy a different avr.
You dont need an amp. The 373 will do just fine.

No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die!

Actually implement your equipment list as stated with the possible upgrade of an AVR with Audyssey (Onkyo, Denon).

Its not precisely what I'd choose, but it does look pretty good. Its not going to be a waste of money.

If you wanted to throw more money at the project after the AVR upgrade, next on your list should be your subwoofer. What you've got looks good but its hard to overspend on subwoofers.

Then there are the acoustic room treatments, which would probabaly be a good idea.

Most audiophiles are well served by AVRs in the 80-110 wpc range. One reason is that if you work out the typical peak SPLs, power levels, distances, etc., 50 wpc is all you need unless you want to accelerate your own ear damage, or buy equipment for the sake of buying equipment, even if you are already a little deaf. ;-)

Spending that amp money on a subwoofer is a great idea.
