How do I get streaming video sound to come through my A/V receiver? I'm streaming video from Amazon.com Instant Video to a Samsung Smart TV. Since the video is being streamed via the WiFi, how do I get the sound through my A/V receiver? For now I can only get the sound through the TV speakers.

If your tv has an optical out for audio (and a setting to change from internal to external speakers) you could connect that to your avr. Post your tv model number if you can't tell from the manual.

Thanks. I almost completely forgot about the optical out audio since most of my connections are HDMI.

If your tv and avr are HDMI ARC capable that's another possibility, but you may not get multichannel sound that way.
