Have a Denon avr-4308ci receiver without calibration microphone. The original mic model should be dm-a505z, but I just saw somebody said the model dm-a405 is the upgrade replacement of a505z, it can be used for 4308ci.

Becasue of little info about it on the internet, not sure if dm-a405 is suitable or not. anybody here knows of it? I am thinking to buy one mic for the receiver.

Thank you very much.

Thank you for your information. I checked on ebay, really expensive for the original dm-a505z. while dm-a405 has much reasonable prices.

I today contact local denon company, waiting for their reply, If buying one 505z model, i would get it from denon.

Thanks.

Hi,

I have the same question as the OP as I am having trouble locating an original a505z. Will any of the other Denon Audyssey microphones work with the 4308-CI, such as the A409 for example? Thanks!

No, the A409 is for the 2008 and newer models. You'll need to use the A505Z.
