Hi. I have a great set of speakers and when it is set to a DVD they all work wonderfully. Surround is great all speakers firing. But when its set to the TV mode only the left/west side of the rooms speakers play. They all obviously work but I have tried everything I can think of when it set to TV but I can't get them all to be in true surround. Help!

Most DVDs have 5.1 soundtracks. Many TV shows are only stereo. Try applying a surround mode such as PLII to stereo sources, which should provide fairly good surround sound.
Are you watching HD broadcast sources, which are usually done in DD 5.1? If so, and you aren't getting DD 5.1, then you have have a setup problem with your source component.

Could be a bad cable/connection between the TV (model?) and AVR (model?).

Make sure the TV is not set to SAP in the audio setup seen this before if no second language is supplied sound will only come out of one speaker also make sure you are using the optical out and not analog from the TV.
Check your audio out settings in your TV's menu .
