I'm looking to set up a surround sound system in my basement. On Craiglist there are two Receivers both at $125 which is near my price range. Any thoughts on which is better or the better deal? It will be hooked up to a HD Projector and the speakers are still undecided.

Thanks for your help!

the 1312 is a little newer, but the 591 is the better buy. the 1312 does not incorporate audyssey room correction into it's feature set. the 591 uses audyssey multeq, and for that feature alone makes the 591 the one I'd buy.

you also may want to consider a refurb denon 1612 from accessories4less.com for $199 and comes with a 1 year warranty.

I don't need snobs to tell me how to think, thank you!
LOL!

Definitely the 591 because of Audyssey MultEQ and also the ability to convert analog video to HDMI.

$125 used on Craigslist for a 1312 isn't a good deal when you can get a refurb w/1 year warranty for $5 more.
