A strange comparison. But im looking into something to power 2 bookshelf speakers for under $200. mini-X a-100 vs Onkyo TX-8255

the speakers will be either def tech studio 350's or cambridge audio S30 in a small room

i want to know if the emotiva amp is any better than the amp in the onkyo. the ratings seem about the same. The reason im considering the emotiva is the wife acceptability factor

thanks

There is no remote for the mini-X A-100 so I don't know how wife friendly that would be.
