Hello everyone,

I am rather new to this home stereo world but am slowly getting the hang of it.

As of now I am looking into getting 2 Cerwin Vega E 712's and possibly a powered sub as well. Maybe a Klipsch Rw 12d.

For an amp I was pointed in the Crown XLS direction to power the CV's and have found a few on Craigslist.

What are your opinions on these? I have found a XLS 402 for $100, and also a 602 for $200 which I could probably get down to 150-175.

Is the 602 worth the upgrade or would I be better off with the 402 since im on a tight budget.

Any input helps! Thanks in advance!

I have a an XLS 1000 (or 1500.) Has worked fine the whole time I have had it. Use it for rear surround.

Has a bit of hiss in both channels. But you only notice if it you are next to it.

"But this one goes up to 11"
