Scanning Craigslist throughout the the US, I see a whole sh**, er, boatload of Emotiva items being sold at at used market prices that i can live with. The question however is why so many of this brand? I see a 50/50 split on this forum regarding the desirability of their products. I am specifically looking at used UMC-1's as i have a pair of inexpensively (really cheap) obtained amps and would something similarily inexpensive(>dirt cheap<) to run them....Inexperienced (of this manufacturer), inquiring minds would like to know.....rolleyes.gif Thank you in advance, oh wise and wonderful AVS Forum collective!!!!biggrin.gif

There is more used emo gear for sale because they likely have sold more gear the last 5 years then their internet direct or boutique competitors. (Pure guessing here).

Id have no problem buying one of their amps used, however their processors have been somewhat buggy. Much Better getting a mid level or better avr with preouts to use as a processor.

I don't need snobs to tell me how to think, thank you!
LOL!
