I'm confused about where to plug a Logitech Blue tooth to feed audio to my 7008. It came with a RCA to 3.55 cable. I know I had it in there at one time and wanat to put it back in, but I don't see any 3.5 jacks, except for 1 labeled Flasher, and 2 labeled DC Out.

Maybe I'm delirious.

I believe you are correct. It has a Port for a blue tooth adapter, but without it there is no blue tooth.

I am certain that the BT unit I have was plugged in with the RCA to 3.5 worked, because I used it. I pulled everything out to Istall my replacement reciever. I never thought I'd have trouble figuring out where to plug that in , so I paid no attention to where it was plugged in. Now that I have it out I only see a couple 3.5 jacks, and I don know think they are audio in ports. I'm not h home now or I'd list what they are labeled as.

Hi
I have a home theater set up with Marantz sr7008 receiver, JVC DLA 4900 projector, apple TV. 4k. The HDMI out on the receiver has stopped working. checked the cables and they are working fine. the audio is working fine. Initially tried to use a few HDMI audio extracter routing the audio to the receiver and connecting the apple tv directly to the projector. However the video signal to the projector is messed up with a green screen. Ended up using a 2 nd generation apple TV which has optical audio out connecting the audio out to the receiver and apple tv directly to the projector.
I do want to use the apple TV 4K ( need some new apps including you tube TV).
Do i have any options.
1. Any media streamers with audio out. later generation amazon fire, roku and apple have no audio out.
2. can i just buy a cheap receiver and some how route the audio ( PRE OUT) to my existing receiver.
my set up is 7.1 for audio
thanks

Hi,

I have a question regarding the Marantz sr6008. Is it possible to have a 5.1 installation in one zone/room and 4 speakers in an other zone/room ? I just need these 4 speakers to play the same music. All the information I have found mention only mention 2 speakers in the second zone.

Thanks

SR6008 center channel is so low I can only hear it with my ear against it. Tried swapping out another center channel same issue. I set the level up to 9bd and it's better but still too low. tried a hard reset - no dice. any thoughts?

separate question: have a NR1602 with a movie audio problem
TV (OTA) and Sling TV sound great but if I play a movie with Disney+ app (via LG or Roku), an Amazon movie or a blu-ray I get this chirping noise in place of the audio. On the blu-ray menu the music sounded fine but once the actual movie started the dialog was replaced with the chirping noise?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone happen to have a copy of some firmware for an SR7008 and instructions on how to update via the USB port? My unit tanked on the GUI part of updating. So, now I'm left with a unit that can't produce any audio and I can't get into the settings (as that's part of the GUI).

Marantz support have elected not to help as they'd rather I bought a new unit from them. I'd love to see if I can restore it, as I really don't want to add another piece of hard-to-recycle tech to the world's trash problem.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

I have a strange issue with my SR5008. I'm using the receiver to pass audio to my 2.1 setup only through ARC (all inputs are directly into my TV), and I get weird static noises on the (LG C8) TV's native apps, but not all of them. Spotify and Youtube seem to work fine, but Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV+ native apps do not have any sound, just strange static noises whenever there should be sound.

Thanks in advance!

Try doing a "soft reset" by powering the TV and AVR off and unplugging their respective power cables and the HDMI cable that connects them for 10 minutes. Connect all cables. Power on the TV, pause 5 seconds, AVR.

If the issue remains, try connecting an optical cable from the TV --> AVR as a test to see if the issue still presents.

Hi,
Have a SR7008. From all speakers I hear a hum clearly. Independant of the volume level.
Any experience what the root cause is? Checked power rails. No ripple. Nothing connected. Looks more like a ground loop, like you hear when record player is connected, without ground.

Tried to search in this thread. Can't figure out how.

I hope this is the correct place to post this question, if not mods please move to suit. We were gifted a Marantz SR6008 a couple of weeks ago to replace our 20-year old Sony STR-DA4ES that has worked just great but the Marantz is newer and I wanted to see what it can do for us. So far we like it but I would like to do a factory reset to start over with all the settings. Regardless of how many times we've tried doing the factory reset it just won't do what the manual says. More than that none of the values or settings have changed after doing what the manual says to do.

What am I missing?

This is what we're attempting to do -

I cannot figure out how to start a new post in this thread so I'm going to try it this way and see if I can get any replies.
I have an SR 7008 and I'm having Intermittent problems with the video signal going to the TV or monitors all my input seemed to be good And I switched out H DMI cables as well.
The receiver will work for a little while and then all of a sudden I will lose the video portion and get an error message on my TV or computer monitor saying that there is no input signal found.
If I unplug and then plug back in the H DMI cables sometimes the video signal will come back.
Any insight on what might be wrong would be appreciated otherwise if anybody can recommend a good repair shop in the greater Saint Louis metropolitan area that would also be appreciated.
Thank you

hi there, i have a denon X6500H my room is 11.6 x 13.2f , driving all channels (SVS Prime all Around , except Front Towers, Prime Pinnacle, and two 1000 sealed subs ) and was thinkning in buying one of this Marantz SR6008 to amplify half of it, so lets say, all Surround + Height, so i leave , 2 height and 4 surround for this marantz
so i have questions
will it be necesary for my setup to add an amp?, i am happy with 0db in denon while listening music (movies i dont usually go above -10db)
if it is or not necesary, and i do it just the same, will it improve anything over what i have now if i do it?, i like the fact that the amps section is almost the same as mine
then my last one, do i have to leave this amp at zero db in direct mode all the time, and configure accordingly from denon right?, or is there anything else to know about
thanks!

Thanks.

Yes Dolby Digital + will decode fine.
You won't get 4K through the 6008 though.

Hi, After an update it stopped playing audio and video, I have reset it as it says in the manual and tried to reinstall the firmware over the internet but logging failed each time and I tried to download the firmware to install it by usb but it does not appear on the official page, Since it would be a shame to have to get rid of him, European version.

Anyone has the firmware for the Marantz SR5008? to install via USB
Thanks...

I'm also have the same issue, SR6008 that I grabbed cheap from an estate sale. The original owner never updated the firmware so I have no Spotify connect. The Marantz firmware service for these units has been turned off as they are considered end of life. I contacted Marantz and their local service agent and in short the service agent said they don't have the firmware and would just use the web service for the upgrade and Marantz have gone quiet. I understand turning off the service but why won't they allow for downloads on request? Pretty sure people would pay for it if they had to. This is really annoying as I have two other SR5007's and they were all updated prior to the service being turned off and work like a charm. Not impressed with the attitude of Marantz who just expect consumers to fork out for new gear rather than supporting existing customers. I work in software and supporting old products is a pain, but I do it because the same clients come back and buy new products happily when the time is right rather than going to the competition.
So rant over , does anyone have a now old firmware for the SR6008 with Spotify Connect functionality?
