I'm having trouble deciding on a receiver. My needs are a few HDMI ports and preouts. I found the Demon 3313 and the Marantz 5007 on accessories4less for around $500. Are there any cheaper receivers with full pre outs? Preferable with two subs. I'd like to be able to expand my current system to an amp later down the road but not enough money right now.
Thanks!

There's no difference between having 2 sub outs and using a Y splitter. At least for receivers in your price range.

If you're patient, you can probably find a receiver with pre-outs for under $400. I bought one a couple of years ago for $299. Yamaha tends to have pre-outs on their lower aventage lines and when the new models come out, the old models get put on clearance.

Thanks!

You're not getting dual sub outputs and full preouts for cheap. Entry level receivers dont come with preouts. You can find older receivers with full sets of preouts though. I hope you don't want networking too or you're gonna still need to spend around $500. You can get a brand new 5007 for $599 from Crutchfield and it comes with a 3 year warranty. By the time you buy a refurb 5007 from AC4less and pay shipping you're not saving much and you only get a 1 year warranty.

Dual subs output isn't important though because all its only an internal Y cable. You can spend $2 and convert a sub output into dual outputs.

If you don't need HDMI 1.4, you may be able to find the older predecessor to the 3313CI, the HDMI 1.3 2809CI which has a full set of pre-outs as well as the same Audyssey MultEQ XT as does the 3313CI for around $300.
